Phillips will open a showroom in Hong Kong to reinforce its commitment to the Asian market, Rapaport reports.
“Their first gallery in Asia will host regular displays, auction previews, private sales and other events, to be led by “Hong Kong. Spotlight. Now.,” an exhibition featuring various product types.
The show is scheduled to launch on March 26, to coincide with the gallery’s opening, and will run through April 13. The exhibition will feature international artists, watches and jewelry, as well as a preview of the company’s upcoming Geneva and Hong Kong watch auctions.
Phillips has been concentrating on the region since its first Hong Kong sale in 2015, and has recently moved its headquarters there.” says Rapaport
“Strengthening and expanding Phillips’s presence in Asia has always been a foremost priority,” CEO Edward Dolman said last week. “Such exponential growth reflects the continued increase in demand and appreciation for art and culture across the region.”
